BlueSteel AI Solutions is a Colorado-based AI enablement firm that helps companies get real, practical value from AI — without massive, risky platform bets. We focus on making teams more capable and efficient using AI, then build targeted products, workflow automations, and software systems that eliminate the most repetitive parts of daily work.
- Build and maintain AI-enabled web apps, dashboards, internal tools, and client-facing platforms
- Design and implement backend systems, APIs, databases, authentication, permissions, and integrations
- Connect AI models, agents, RAG systems, workflow automations, and third-party services into usable products
- Prototype quickly, then harden successful prototypes into robust production systems
- Work across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and automation layers as needed
- AI Systems and Automation
Develop custom AI workflows using LLMs, APIs, vector databases, retrieval systems, and agentic frameworks
Build human-in-the-loop automations that streamline business operations while keeping people in control
Integrate with CRMs, ERPs, document systems, communication platforms, and knowledge bases
Know when to use AI, when deterministic logic is better, and how to combine both effectively
- Client-Facing Work
Join discovery, scoping, and implementation calls with clients alongside the founding team
Translate business requirements into clear technical designs and build plans
Explain technical concepts in plain language to non-technical stakeholders
Identify risks, dependencies, and realistic timelines and communicate them candidly
Represent BlueSteel with professionalism, clarity, and strong judgment
- Technical Leadership
Lead engineering standards, architecture decisions, and code quality across projects
Own technical handoffs, documentation, and implementation plans
Collaborate with founders, associates, and other developers on project execution
Shape reusable internal components, templates, and technical workflows
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong full-stack development ability, comfortable owning features end to end
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and Python
Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, Supabase, Firebase, or MongoDB
Experience with authentication, user roles, permissions, and secure data handling
Comfort with REST APIs, webhooks, third-party integrations, and backend services
Practical experience building with AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
Ability to move from concept to working prototype quickly and iterate
Clear communication skills, comfortable in client-facing settings
Strong debugging skills, solid documentation habits, and good architectural reasoning
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with RAG systems, vector databases, embeddings, or knowledge retrieval pipelines
Experience with agent frameworks or AI orchestration (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI)
Familiarity with n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar automation tools
Experience building SaaS products, internal business tools, or client portals
Experience deploying on Vercel, AWS, GCP, Azure, Render, Railway, or similar
Familiarity with CRM, ERP, document management, or enterprise software ecosystems
Background in consulting, agencies, startups, or fast-moving client-service environments
We are looking for a Lead AI Full-Stack Developer to own the technical execution of client-facing AI projects, internal tools, automation systems, and custom software builds. You'll work across the full stack — from prototype to production — using modern web technologies and AI tooling to ship reliable systems that solve real business problems. The role blends hands-on engineering, technical architecture, and client-facing collaboration.
