Launch Vehicle Integration– Principal Systems Engineer (Clearance Required)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in technical related discipline, with 15+ years of experience in aerospace, with at least 10 years of experience in Spacecraft/LV design or launch operations
- Experienced in launch vehicle (LV) mission integration with focus on development, documentation, and verification of LV to Spacecraft (SC) interface requirements.
- Experienced in coordinating and overseeing the development of LV mission unique hardware/services/operations required to support SC launch, identification and burn-down of LV integration risks, coordination and choreography of integrated operations, and chair LV readiness reviews.
- Familiarity with LV User Guides and Range safety requirements (e.g. SSCMAN 91-710)
- Experienced in the planning and coordination of integrated operations such as SC to LV match mate, SC encapsulation, launch site transport, mate to LV, and integrated Systems testing.
- Experienced in the following:
- Chairing various mission integration working groups (Mission Design, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Contamination, Thermal, Day-of-Launch, Ground Operations, Launch Operations, …etc.)
- Developing and presenting Launch System status in Customer Program-level reviews (PMRs, SRR, PDR, CDR, PSR, …etc.)
- Assisting in the coordination and participation in launch countdown rehearsals and on-console resolution of integrated anomalies during launch countdown
- Acting as Spacecraft authority in LV mission unique hardware and system certification reviews
- Acting as Spacecraft authority at LV readiness reviews
- Proven leadership abilities, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
- Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations
- Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
- Must hold an Active TS/SCI.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management and performing Control account manager (CAM) duties
- Ability to reinforce the usage & application of Corporate PM tools.
- Ability to keep program management informed of function & process changes within project controls.
- Ability to establish new & further refining existing templates, tools, & guidelines for program documentation & execution
COMPENSATION
Pay Range:
$169,510.00 - $233,062.00
Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
- Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
- Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
- Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
- Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
- Rarely exposed to loud noises

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and current full-scope polygraph U.S. Security Clearance. Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
