LatAm - Lead SDET

We currently have a career opportunity for a Lead QA Automation Engineer to join our team located in LATAM.

As a Lead Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality-first initiative, setting strategy for automation, testing, and QA best practices.
• Define test strategies across the stack: unit, integration, API, UI, performance, load, and security testing.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to align testing priorities with release goals and compliance standards.
• Mentor QA and development teams, fostering a shift-left culture where testing is integral to the SDLC.
• Architect and implement scalable, reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).
• Build test frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Robot, PyTest, and RestAssured.
• Develop performance/load testing suites using JMeter, Locust, or k6, and integrate results into release gates.
• Establish dashboards for test coverage, defect density, performance benchmarks, and release readiness.
• Partner with DevOps to optimize test environments, CI/CD pipelines, and test data management.
• Drive adoption of new testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve speed and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience experience in software test engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python for building automation frameworks.
• Proven expertise in UI testing (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright), API testing (Postman, RestAssured, PyTest), and integration testing.
• Hands-on experience in performance and scalability testing using JMeter, Locust, or equivalent.
• Solid SQL/database testing experience; familiarity with PostgreSQL preferred.
• Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of code quality, coverage, and security testing tools (SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, etc.).
