Who we are:
BRĒZ is pioneering a new category of *Feel Good Tonics* — functional and infused beverages designed to help people elevate, relax, and flow through their day. We’re a high-growth, culture-driven company with national distribution and ambitious expansion plans across retail, on-premise, and digital.
Who you are:
- Thrive in fast paced, dynamic startup environments.
- Passion for functional wellness, non-alcoholic beverage, cannabis, mushrooms, and other adaptogenic or nootropic therapeutic compounds.
- Embrace creativity and innovation, and always up for a new challenge.
- Eager to join a team aiming to revolutionize the beverage industry and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our customers.
As a BRĒZ Key Account Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Director of National Accounts and will play a pivotal role in driving brand awareness, enhancing retail partnerships, and delivering impactful trade and consumer experiences. This role will be responsible for driving BRĒZ growth within national and regional chain partners across convenience, liquor, grocery, mass merch, drug, and food service. This role requires a unique ability to manage BRĒZ dual portfolio — our infused business and our functional non-alcoholic business — which means understanding the full retail ecosystem and the different decision-makers who oversee each category.
A critical differentiator for BRĒZ is our ability to activate retail with digital marketing and shopper campaigns that drive traffic in-store. The Key Account Manager must be comfortable working cross-functionally with our digital and marketing teams to execute these programs, making Brez one of the strongest value propositions in beverages today.
What you will do:
- Own Key Accounts: Act as the primary relationship manager for assigned national and regional chains across multiple channels (convenience, liquor, grocery, mass, drug, food service).
- Portfolio Growth: Build and expand BRĒZ presence in both infused and functional non-alcoholic sets, ensuring the brand wins in more than one section of the store.
- Strategic Influence: Navigate complex retail org charts and influence buyers across categories (e.g., non-alc, alcohol/spirits, wellness, functional).
- Drive Distribution: Secure incremental placements, maximize shelf visibility, and expand Points of Distribution (PODs).
- Data-Led Selling: Leverage POS, syndicated data, and BRĒZ DTC insights to tell compelling growth stories and justify expansion.
- Digital Activation: Partner with BRĒZ digital and shopper marketing teams to execute campaigns that drive consumer traffic into retail accounts, reinforcing BRĒZ unique value proposition.
- Distributor Partnership: Work across distribution types — DSD, broadline, and food service — ensuring alignment with Brez programs and flawless execution in-market.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, trade, and operations to deliver retail programs, promotions, and seasonal activations.
- Opportunity Hunting: Identify pockets of growth within chains and channels where Brez can expand faster than category competitors.
- Create a workplace culture where people feel motivated and are excited to bring their best selves to work and commit to BRĒZ’s goals and objectives
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice
How you will win:
- Growth of BRĒZ dual portfolio (infused + functional) across chain partners.
- Expansion into multiple store departments and channels.
- Full portfolio placements, not just single-SKU wins.
- Consistent velocity improvement within key accounts.
- Retail partners engaged with and benefiting from BRĒZ digital activations.
- Strong alignment between distributors, field teams, and national account strategy.
What you will need:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - 5+ years of Key Account or National Account Management in beverages (alcohol, non-alcoholic, or wellness CPG).
- Proven track record of managing and growing chain business across multi-channel retail (convenience, liquor, grocery, drug, mass, food service).
- Ability to navigate different buyer groups and categories within a retailer.
- Familiarity with digital shopper marketing, retail media, or traffic-driving activations — or ability to collaborate effectively with digital teams to deliver them.
- Strong understanding of distribution models: DSD, broadline, and food service.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-growth startup.
