The Enterprise Retail Sales Org focuses on delivering an ecosystem of mobile video, fixed video, AI-powered voice communication, digital workflow software and more for the front-line workforce and loss prevention teams in Retail globally.
Job Description

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for spearheading the development of new direct Large Enterprise Accounts within the Retail sector and nurturing high-level relationships with current key accounts to ensure continued growth.

 

The key candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Key Account Business Development: Drive new account acquisition and expansion with large strategic Brick and Mortar Retailers through cold-calling, leveraging internal resources, securing pilots, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for key accounts, ensuring effective day-to-day management.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including presales engineers, marketing, product management, product-focused sales, sales operations, and channel teams/partners, to accelerate new account acquisitions and/or growth.

  • Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Provide accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts and maintain a robust pipeline to ensure predictable and sustainable growth.

  • Customer Engagement: Cultivate executive-level relationships and collaborate closely with key decision-makers within customer organizations, as well as conduct joint sales calls with resellers and distributors to stimulate end-user demand.

  • Market Awareness: Continuously monitor competitive dynamics and emerging technology trends to anticipate and address their impact on Motorola Solutions.

  • CRM Excellence: Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer intelligence and reporting within Motorola’s CRM system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record of selling complex technology solutions to large, national/global Retailers (e.g., big box, grocery, DIY, fashion, specialty retail).

  • Sales Savvy: Deep understanding of technology sales to enterprise accounts, including procurement processes and competitive landscapes.

  • Channel * Direct Sales Proficiency: Strong expertise in both direct sales models and distribution channels, including reseller ecosystems.

  • Strategic Relationship Building: Exceptional ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, distributors, and partners.

  • Consultative Selling: Skilled in positioning diverse products and solutions, both individually and collectively, to create compelling, customized value propositions for assigned accounts.

  • Communication: Highly effective written, oral, and presentation skills.

  • Analytical Acumen: Strong organizational and analytical skills to drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Agile Learning & Adaptability: A quick learner with the capacity to rapidly understand and clearly articulate the value of new products and solutions.

Location & Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within North America

  • Candidates can live anywhere in the United States

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD based on experience
