Key Account Director
Full-time (40 hours per week), Hybrid (Berlin, Germany)

About Us
At The Global Talent Co., we provide opportunities to work with leading innovative technology companies worldwide, offering stable employment, competitive compensation, career growth, and access to a community of 25,000+ like-minded marketing professionals.

About the Company
You’ll be joining a Berlin-headquartered, founder-led company that has spent over a decade becoming one of Europe’s leading partners for premium custom signage, trusted by well-known brands in retail, luxury, automotive, hospitality and tech. Through people, process and technology, the team is on a mission to become the first truly scalable company in the signage industry. The next step is a dedicated new business function that wins Europe’s strongest brands.

The Role
As Key Account Director you will win top-tier enterprise clients and build long-term partnerships with leading European brands. This role is both hunter and strategic advisor: you open the doors, shape complex, high-value signage deals and become a trusted partner to senior decision-makers.

You’ll work closely with the founders and an experienced team of signage experts who handle all project delivery once a client signs. This role is ideal for a commercially sharp hunter who thrives at C-suite level and wants real ownership of their pipeline and relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Win large enterprise clients, from identifying the right targets to closing complex, high-value signage projects and partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at eye level

  • Act as the strategic link between clients and internal signage experts, writing sharp briefs and setting expectations from day one

  • Develop market opportunities and identify upsell and expansion potential based on each client’s strategy

  • Negotiate pricing, contract structures and procurement processes that protect margin

  • Own the trade fair presence: choose the right events, show up prepared and turn conversations into pipeline

  • Visit clients on-site at strategic moments, not as routine check-ins

Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years in strategic B2B sales or key account management, with proven closes on complex, high-value projects

  • Native-level German and professional English; based in or able to work hybrid from Berlin

  • Confident at decision-maker level and able to lead commercial conversations with the C-suite

  • A hunter with relationship depth who opens doors independently and turns them into real partnerships

  • Commercially sharp, with a strong grasp of margins, contract structures and complex procurement

  • Structured and CRM-disciplined; pipeline management comes naturally

  • Listens first and understands what matters to a client before pitching

Nice to Have

  • A background in brand experience, retail or shopper marketing agencies, POS and visual merchandising, shopfitting, trade fair construction, event agencies or large-format production

  • Hands-on experience with tenders, RFPs and framework agreements

  • An existing network among brand, retail marketing or visual merchandising leaders in DACH
