Junior Web Developer

We are looking for a web developer proficient in JavaScript and frontend technologies. The applicant will be working on the Shopify platform to onboard and integrate our widget onto new clients’ stores. You will be responsible for working with our Development team to help improve, debug, and ensure an optimized widget is being offered to merchants and their customers. We are a growing team with many opportunities to take on bigger roles and responsibilities. We encourage on-job learning and aim to be an all-hands-on-deck collaborative. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required. 

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a close-knit team to integrate with merchants’ Shopify stores using Shopify Liquid and JavaScript. You will principally be responsible for onboarding new merchants, testing widgets, and debugging issues.
• Implement designs and UIs for customer facing dashboards.
• Integrate third-party applications and APIs.
• Use Jira to receive and record your daily tasks.
• Participate in sprint retrospectives and daily / weekly stand-ups.
• Interface with clients via Slack, Zoom, or email.
• Staying communicative with our team using Slack.
• Work with tools including Slack, GitHub, Figma, etc.
• Be part of a community of JavaScript developers who share knowledge and help each other as problems arise.

Requirements

• Proficiency with JavaScript and frontend development is a requirement. 2 years of professional experience is preferred, but we are flexible as long as you have proficiency with JavaScript and frontend development.
• Experience with MERN stack is a plus but not required.
• An understanding of JavaScript best practices and a commitment to following them.
• A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Forensic attention to detail.
• Ability to take extreme ownership over your work. Every day is a challenge to ensure you are performing to the expectations you and your team have agreed upon, both in regard to estimates and to the general process.
• Ability to write well-documented, clean code.
• Ability to work with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts.
• Willingness to learn parts of our tech stack. There will be potential to develop on additional codebases.
• Ability to work within our Lakewood, CO office, but can be transitioned into hybrid after a probationary period.
