Summary

The Junior Product Manager will be responsible for defining and delivering the product capabilities that support Garage Hub's auto parts distribution platform as well as Tires Easy's Driveline platform. This role focuses on building systems that enable accurate product data, efficient catalog management, pricing integrity, and scalable internal workflows across a growing supplier-, customer-, and SKU- base. This position plays a central role in ensuring that these platforms reliably support customer- and distributor-specific needs such as part compatibility, order management, inventory visibility, and pricing logic.

The Product Manager will work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Strategic Partnerships teams to translate distributor and customer requirements into product solutions that improve catalog accuracy, pricing consistency, inventory transparency, sales, and execution. The ideal candidate is a Product Manager with experience in distribution, e-commerce, marketplace, or inventory-driven businesses who understands the operational realities of managing complex catalogs and supplier data in high-volume, data-intensive environments.

This is a 3-month independent contractor engagement with the possibility of extension.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own the product definition and delivery of Garage Hub's and Driveline's core distribution platform capabilities.
  • Design and evolve systems that support order management, catalog ingestion, part normalization, and data quality across customers and suppliers, including UX/UI where applicable.
  • Partner with Engineering to plan and deliver product releases that support customer and distributor workflows and scale.
  • Work closely with Operations and Strategic Partnerships teams to understand distribution-specific constraints (shipping logic, catalog complexity, pricing rules, inventory data, supplier variability) and translate them into product requirements.
  • Partner directly with Operations to identify and resolve pain points, validate requirements, and ensure solutions are practical and adopted in live operating environments.
  • Define and maintain a prioritized roadmap aligned to distributor/customer needs and business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation, tooling, and workflow redesign.
  • Communicate product priorities, tradeoffs, and delivery timelines clearly to stakeholders.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving requirements and limited precedent.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a top academic institution.
  • 2-6+ years of product management experience in B2B, marketplace, e-commerce, or other operations- and data-intensive environments.
  • Strong business judgment with a clear understanding of how product decisions impact operational execution, cost, and scalability.
  • Demonstrated ability to ship, iterate, and improve complex products in fast-moving organizations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Analytics teams to deliver scalable, business-ready solutions.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous, real-world business problems into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort using metrics, dashboards, and analysis to inform prioritization and tradeoffs.
  • Strong organizational and execution skills with a clear bias toward delivery over process.
  • Comfortable operating in high-growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environments; startup or early-stage experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly around requirements, prioritization, and decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with common product management and analytics tools strongly preferred.
