Position Overview
WorldStrides is seeking a Junior Power Platform AI & Automation Engineer to join our IT Engineering team and support the design and delivery of AI-driven, automation, and low-code solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This entry-level role is ideal for an early-career professional with foundational experience (academic, internship, or professional) who is eager to learn, build, and grow in the areas of workflow automation, AI-assisted tools, and low-code development. The right candidate will be curious, collaborative, and motivated to develop technical skills while contributing to meaningful automation initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to help streamline internal processes, digitize workflows and forms, and support the responsible adoption of Microsoft Copilot and automation technologies. You will gain hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions that improve operational efficiency and enhance the digital workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building and supporting Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-Driven) and AI Agents for internal business processes
- Help develop and maintain Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, and basic process automation
- Support data integration using Dataverse, SharePoint Online, or SQL Server
- Gain hands-on exposure to Microsoft Copilot features, AI-assisted workflows and AI Agents
- Assist with basic Power BI reporting and operational dashboards
- Help ensure data accuracy, permissions, and basic governance standards are followed.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with senior engineers and business analysts
- Document solutions and continuously learn Microsoft Power Platform best practices
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver custom solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Work closely with Worldstrides AI Employee Resource Group, citizen developers and makers at Worldstrides to support their efforts to adopt and use MSFT Copilot and Power Platform tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
or equivalent academic, internship, or hands-on experience - 0–2 years of experience working with Microsoft technologies
- Exposure to Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, SharePoint Online, or Dataverse
- Basic understanding of data concepts and workflow automation
- Strong willingness to learn, problem-solve, and take guidance
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
