Job Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and management of IT infrastructure within the NOC environment.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and operational health.
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Perform routine system maintenance in accordance with established procedures.
- Support patching and system update activities to help ensure systems remain current and secure.
- Maintain and monitor system backups and backup-related processes.
- Manage or assist with user accounts, access permissions, and basic identity administration tasks.
- Provide technical support to NOC staff to help ensure seamless daily operations.
- Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT personnel to resolve operational issues.
- Assist with identifying recurring problems and recommending improvements to system reliability and performance.
- Support the implementation of approved system and infrastructure changes.
- Document system configurations, changes, incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Follow established operational procedures, escalation paths, change management practices, and documentation standards.
The Junior NOC Network Administrator supports the maintenance, management, and reliability of IT infrastructure within the Network Operations Center (NOC). This role helps ensure the availability and performance of network and system services by monitoring system health, supporting routine maintenance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with day-to-day operational support.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Training or practical experience in system administration.
- Training or practical experience managing and maintaining IT infrastructure in a NOC or similar operational environment.
- Basic proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Training or experience with virtualization technologies.
- Training or experience with system monitoring tools.
- Training or experience with backup solutions and backup management processes.
- Foundational understanding of hardware, software, network, and system troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to interact professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to accurately document system configurations, changes, incidents, and resolutions.
- Active U.S. Secret clearance required.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices is preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced NOC, service desk, systems operations, or similar operational environment is preferred.
- Requires an Interim DoD Secret or comparable clearance
