This is a fully remote position for candidates residing within the U.S.

The Role

At Splash Sports, data analytics powers everything we do — from enhancing customer experiences to unlocking bold new possibilities in the fast-evolving world of fantasy sports gaming. As a Junior Data Analyst on our Marketing team, you'll be at the forefront of applying cutting-edge technologies, including AI, to transform how we connect with sports fans and drive business growth. You'll collect and analyze fan behavior, player trends, and campaign performance data to inform marketing strategies that increase engagement and maximize our reach across digital channels. Through cross-functional collaboration and analytical problem-solving, you'll enable teams across our organization to make smarter, better, and faster decisions while helping shape the future of peer-to-peer sports gaming.

What You'll Do
  • Dashboard Development: Build and maintain comprehensive dashboards to share product, marketing, and game operations to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Leverage AI Opportunities: Apply cutting-edge AI capabilities, including Generative AI and LLMs, to streamline workflows and improve marketing effectiveness while architecting sophisticated campaign automation systems that ensure seamless data integration and operational efficiency
  • Drive Cross Functional Growth Initiatives: Work closely with product and engineering teams to develop, manage, and deploy projects that shape the future of the business by driving user growth and increasing business efficiencies
  • Campaign Development & Optimization: Create new promotional campaigns that drive user growth through incentive offers, designing these offers using A/B testing methodologies that quantify benefits and encourage continuous learning and improvements
  • Marketing Technology Management: Leverage our modern data stack including Segment for data pipelines, Snowflake for database storage and analytics, and Braze for customer messaging to control communications like email, push notifications, and in-app messages
  • Uncover Strategic Insights: Proactively conduct analysis to uncover growth opportunities and identify strategic trends in user behavior and product performance that drive business decisions
  • User & Campaign Analytics: Analyze user engagement, conversion funnels, and marketing campaign performance including acquisition costs and conversion rates
  • Operations Analytics: Monitor game operations metrics including player activity, contest participation, and platform performance to ensure optimal user experience
What You'll Bring
  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related field
  • Expertise in SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Metabase, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and A/B testing principles
  • Familiarity with fantasy sports, gaming, or sports betting industries preferred
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Startup experience or demonstrated interest in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
Bonus Points
  • Experience deploying AI workflows in production environments
  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.)
  • Knowledge of gaming/fantasy sports metrics and user lifecycle
  • Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Snowflake, Segment, etc.)
  • Previous experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • Experience with promotional campaign design, analytics and customer messaging platforms (Braze, Mixpanel)
Compensation & Benefits

As a Splash team member, you’ll receive a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes:

  • A competitive annual salary range of $55,000-65,000. This range may be modified, and final compensation may vary based on work experience and skill level
