About the Role

Abnormal Security is looking for a creative and skilled Junior Content Writer to join a new dynamic media team. This position requires a keen ability to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging, often social-media driven content that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in content creation, social media marketing, and journalism and be an eager collaborator on a rapidly growing team.

What you will do 

  • Collaborate on blog posts, case studies, social media content on a range of technical subjects related to applied AI and enterprise use cases of AI
  • Own full content production process from start to finish including editing, proofreading, and quality assurance to ensure clarity, grammar, and accuracy.
  • Contribute to content strategy and brainstorming sessions with innovative ideas for new types of content as programs expand and develop.
  • Stay updated with AI industry trends and technical developments to ensure content is relevant and appealing.
  • Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines.

Must Haves 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in content creation or journalism, preferably in a technology-focused environment.
  • Strong portfolio of published or professional samples.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to understand and write about complex technical topics in a clear and concise manner, while also diving deep into an area and writing technically and in-depth.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Be an eager learner and willing collaborator.
  • Proactive knowledge of emerging AI industry trends to incorporate into content strategy.
  • Experience harnessing AI tools across workflows to optimize content performance and output.

Nice to Have 

  • Background or deep interest in a specific AI discipline.
  • Experience with multimedia content creation (videos, podcasts, webinars).
  • Familiarity with content management systems and collaboration tools.

Base salary range:

$66,300$78,000 USD
