Our client is looking for a Junior Accountant to support their day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and help strengthen internal accounting processes as the organization continues to scale. They operate a fast-growing, technology-enabled platform in the healthcare staffing space and have significantly expanded their professional network, geographic reach, and service capabilities in recent years.

- Manage and maintain accurate daily bookkeeping records and financial transactions.
- Support the company's daily accounting activities and ensure financial information is entered and organized correctly.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including tracking outstanding items and maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare, issue, track, and follow up on client invoices and outstanding payments.
- Perform regular account and transaction reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies when necessary.
- Maintain accurate financial information within QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Use Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and reconcile financial data using functions such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and related formulas.
- Follow up with clients regarding invoices, payments, and other accounting-related matters in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain organized accounting documentation and supporting records.
- Assist with improving, documenting, and building internal accounting processes as the company grows.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to obtain information needed to keep accounting records complete and current.
- Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or process gaps and proactively work toward solutions.
- Support additional accounting and bookkeeping activities as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- Previous experience or foundational professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a closely related function.
- Hands-on knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and common formulas used to organize and analyze financial information.
- Practical understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Experience performing financial or account reconciliations.
- Familiarity with invoicing and payment follow-up processes.
- Ability to manage recurring daily bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities accurately.
- High level of spoken and written English proficiency, including the ability to communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working extensively with numbers and financial data.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and follow through on tasks without requiring constant supervision.
- Adaptability and willingness to work within a fast-moving startup environment.
- Degree or ongoing education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Early-career accounting professionals with strong practical bookkeeping skills are encouraged to apply.
