We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong Oracle expertise to support a critical migration project from SDWIS (Safe Drinking Water Information System) to DW-SFITES (Drinking Water State-Federal-Tribal Information Exchange System). This role will involve both operational support and new development efforts, making it ideal for professionals who enjoy working on enterprise-scale applications and system modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities✅ Support and maintain existing Java-based SDWIS applications
✅ Troubleshoot, resolve defects, and monitor application performance
✅ Participate in migration activities from SDWIS to DW-SFITES
✅ Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications
✅ Develop and enhance APIs for system integrations
✅ Write and optimize complex Oracle database queries and procedures
✅ Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to meet project goals
✅ Create technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
✅ Analyze and resolve complex application and database issues
✔ Advanced Java development experience in enterprise environments
✔ Strong Oracle Database skills including SQL, query optimization, and data management
✔ Experience creating, consuming, and modifying APIs
✔ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
✔ Experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude)
✔ Power BI or Tableau dashboard development experience
✔ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✔ Strong analytical and technical documentation skills
