About the Role
The Individual Contributor (IC) is responsible for maintaining the organization’s global operations, technology, and services through modern software engineering practices. This role focuses on efficient development, automation, and continuous operation of infrastructure, including cloud environments.
The Individual Contributor (IC) will leverage software-driven methodologies such as developer productivity tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to simplify, standardize, and optimize operations. This role will execute initiatives to reduce cycle times and increase security, availability, service agility, user experience, and alignment of World Kinect Corporation’s operations.
What You’ll DoYou’ll lead the design and development of complex developer productivity solutions.
You’ll build, deploy, and maintain high-performance APIs using TypeScript and GraphQL.
You’ll mentor junior engineers and conduct comprehensive code reviews.
You’ll troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues with minimal supervision.
You’ll collaborate across teams to architect scalable and secure solutions.
You’ll optimize software for reliability, performance, and efficiency.
You’ll drive initiatives for continuous improvement and adoption of best practices.
You’ll develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes.
You’ll implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistent and scalable environments.
You’ll create and maintain developer documentation and best practices guides.
You’ll facilitate developer onboarding and training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
You’ll gather and analyze developer feedback to continuously improve tools and processes.
You have 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
You have advanced skills in TypeScript, GraphQL, and API design.
You have strong knowledge of developer productivity tools and cloud platforms.
You have experience with containerization and security practices.
You have proven ability to lead projects and work collaboratively across teams.
You have experience with CI/CD pipeline development and management.
You have a solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.
You have excellent communication and documentation skills.
You’ll learn to work in an innersource community.
You’ll learn to promote self-service using automation.
You’ll learn to maintain everything-as-code.
You’ll learn advanced techniques for optimizing developer workflows.
