Hands-on individual contributor managing macOS and Windows endpoints, enforcing CIS controls with Jamf and Intune, scripting Automox Worklets (Bash/PowerShell), automating identity and SaaS provisioning, administering AWS/Azure IAM, owning help desk tickets (L1/L2), and driving workflow automation and continuous improvements.

Are you ready to own something big? Automox is turning IT admins into IT heroes by replacing traditional tools with our award winning cloud-native endpoint management platform. Our product works autonomously and so do our teams. We value a ‘one team’ mentality where everyone’s unique skills contribute to an environment that encourages collaboration and ownership. At Automox you’re enabled to do your best work, grow your career, and have an impact that will be noticeable. WE ARE A_TOMOX… all that’s missing is U!

We are hiring an IT Systems Administrator to keep Automox's internal IT running: endpoints enrolled and compliant, identity and SaaS access provisioned correctly, and repetitive work automated away. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role on a small, fast-moving team. You will spend your day in the tools, not in meetings about the tools. If you would rather automate a problem than do it twice, this is your seat.

What You'll Own and Drive

Endpoint management and compliance. Manage the macOS and Windows fleet end to end. Enforce CIS controls using Jamf on Mac and Microsoft Intune on Windows. Keep enrollment, configuration, and patch compliance high and measurable.

Endpoint automation through Automox. Write and maintain Bash and PowerShell Worklets in Automox to automate endpoint actions, close compliance gaps, and cut manual IT workload. As a daily power user of our own product, you are also a direct internal feedback loop to Product and Engineering. Your bug reports and feature ideas should ship.

Identity and SaaS administration. Provision, deprovision, and govern access across our identity provider and SaaS estate (Google Workspace, Atlassian, GitHub). Automate the joiner-mover-leaver lifecycle so access is correct by default.

Cloud access control. Administer access and IAM across our cloud accounts (AWS and Azure). Scope is access governance and account hygiene, not infrastructure engineering.

Workflow automation. Design and deploy automations (using workflow automation tooling or a SOAR equivalent) that integrate IT, identity, and SaaS systems and remove repetitive work across the company.

Help desk. Own the internal ticket queue. Handle level 1 and escalated level 2 tickets, and meet our SLA to the business.

Continuous improvement. Analyze current systems and processes, spot inefficiencies, and propose and ship the fixes. Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and stay current on cloud and automation practice.

How We Work with AI

We expect you to use AI tools to move faster and raise the quality of your deliverables. Just as important is the judgment to review AI output for correctness and security before it reaches production. AI accelerates the work. It does not replace your accountability for it.

What Success Looks Like

You will own measurable outcomes, not just activity. Examples include patch compliance across the fleet, MDM enrollment rate, ticket MTTR against SLA, and SaaS access-review cadence.

What You Bring
  • 2 to 3 years in IT systems administration or a related role, ideally in a cloud-first SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on automation and scripting in PowerShell, Bash, and Python. You write working scripts, and you use AI coding tools well with the judgment to catch what they get wrong.
  • Endpoint management experience with Jamf and Intune.
  • Cloud access and IAM experience in AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with identity and SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Atlassian, GitHub) and workflow automation tooling (SOAR or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical instinct. You find the inefficiency and propose the fix.
  • A collaborative, cross-functional working style.

The salary range listed is the base pay range for this position. In addition, the total compensation package includes bonus, equity and benefits. Actual earnings may be less or more depending on a candidate's direct experience, skills, industry knowledge, and location.
