What you'll be doing: 

Sime Industrial is currently on the hunt for an IT Support Analyst (Level 2) to join our award-winning team. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Mackay, QLD branch. 

Reporting to the Desktop Support Team Lead, the IT Support Analyst's primary responsibility is to provide quality IT Desktop support services on a daily basis for all Sime Industrial users, while working closely with other IT functions to deliver application support, ticket management and administrative activities. 

This role will involve the following key duties and responsibilities: 

  • Provide onsite and remote technical support for hardware, software and network issues 

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, escalating to higher-level support when necessary 

  • Maintain and support desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices, ensuring smooth operations for all end-users 

  • Manage and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction 

  • Assist with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software 

  • Provide remote and on-site technical assistance and training to end-users as required 

  • Document processes, issues and solutions clearly and accurately for future reference 

  • Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to implement new technologies and system improvements

About you: 

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and attributes: 

  • Degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role 

  • Experience supporting end-user hardware including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers and meeting room technology, including configuration, setup and troubleshooting 

  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, Intune, Autopilot and Copilot 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and supportive assistance to non-technical users 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously 

  • Australian working rights and a valid driver's licence
