The IT Procurement Lead; Software Renewals will establish and implement software renewal activities across Humana’s enterprise. This role works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The IT Procurement Lead - Software Renewals proactively tracks and executes software renewals to ensure timely end-to-end processing. You will lead and support associates on daily software renewal activities. You will identify and collaborate with key stakeholders to align business objectives, compliance and enhance stakeholder satisfaction. You will participate in strategic planning and process improvement. You will ensure that supplier compliance and performance aligns with organizational objectives, standards, cost-saving initiatives, and agreement terms. A successful candidate will use independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend policies, standards and procedures that are aligned with IT standards and strategy.
  • Maintain a centralized renewal calendar and monitor renewal statuses through completion and recording.
  • Review and assign software renewal activities and tasks to associates across the IT Procurement & Supplier Management team.
  • Review licenses or contracts to ensure that software is covered by the contract and documented.
  • Analyze software spend and identify cost-saving opportunities to maximize Return on investment.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and compliance.
  • Research and recommend supplier optimization strategies.
  • Review supplier analysis including capabilities, goals, risk profile, and financial health.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement with organizational strategies.
  • Conduct research, assemble data, and use reporting tools and dashboards to refine information delivery.
  • Follow internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job tasks and related tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a business or information technology discipline
  • 8 or more years of experience in Procurement of IT systems and/or software
  • 2 or more years of project leadership experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Be able to assimilate, analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from multi-faceted and often ambiguous data
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, identifies process improvements
  • Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels
  • Effectiveness in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Flexible and willing to learn new skill sets quickly as the need arises

Preferred skill

  • Business analysis skills to guide and implement sourcing programs and services aligned with business partners strategies.

Additional Information

You will report to an Associate Director of Software Renewals.

You will perform as an individual contributor with no managerial duties/oversight of a team.

You will be fully remote within the U.S.

Travel: While this is a remote position, Humana may require occasional travel to its offices for training or meetings.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$115,200 - $158,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
