Job Description

Position Summary
The IT Applications Manager will be responsible for the oversight, planning, and management of the business applications portfolio for Aspen Hospitality (AH), including system selection and implementation. This position reports to the VP of IT.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $100,000- $130,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
•    Manage, support, and evolve the AH applications portfolio with a focus on the creation of business value by matching business goals with IT solutions
•    Manage AH projects to ensure timeliness, technical direction, and emphasis on customer service
•    Develop and maintain a relationship with various business units to ensure AH user needs are met and applications are accessible, including AO and ASC business units as needed
•    Responsible for oversight, planning, configuration, implementation and ongoing understanding and support of integrations with core AH systems
•    Responsible for AH customer advocacy with business application vendors, including tracking of AH business requests for features, bug-fixes, customizations and integrations, and communicating status of enhancement requests to business users
•    Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems to stay ahead of business needs
•    Ensure user experience of AH business applications are in alignment with brand standards, both internal and guest-facing
•    Responsible for the business application portfolio of projects, including the planning, oversight, and delivery of vendor configurations, implementations and integration activities to ensure specifications and business requirements are met
•    Facilitate or liaise with application vendors/suppliers to deliver training and training related materials to power users / end users for modified and new systems
•    Manage vendor relationships, participate in vendor assessments, and escalate vendor related performance issues to leadership as necessary
•    Process vendor invoices and accruals monthly and support Finance/IT budget reviews
•    Ensure adherence to security policies, such as SSO, as well as administration of user roles and permissions
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration required
•    5+ years of project management experience or similar job function in a hospitality organization comparable in terms of diversity, size, complexity, and scope of operation preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•    Strong analytical skills, capable of understanding and documenting business processes and functional requirements
•    Familiarity with data privacy, data quality and governance concepts
•    Understanding of the application architecture and workflows that make-up the application, including integrations with upstream and downstream systems, and data storage, data processing and data movement
•    Proficient in project management and understanding of project life cycle
•    Proficient in application portfolio management and understanding of application life cycle
•    Excellent written and spoken English
•    Ability to effectively communicate with and exchange information verbally and in writing
•    Ability to complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist the IT support services department as business volumes and staff levels demand
•    Ability to approach complex problems methodically and analyze them from multiple perspectives
•    Ability to work with non-technical team members and communicate complex technical information in a clear way
•    Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
•    Ability to stay up to date with new technologies, tools, and industry standards
•    Ability to be a team player, working collaboratively with others

Additional Information

Work Environment & Physical Demands
•    Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
•    No adverse or hazardous conditions
•    Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
