Job DescriptionThe Mountain Operations IT Analyst is responsible for supporting a portfolio of applications utilized by our mountain operations business unit. They will focus on improving operational efficiency and end user experience through enhancing existing systems and implementing new technology solutions. They will work with teams such as Food and Beverage, Guest Services, Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, Lift/Vehicle Maintenance and Snowmaking. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Mountain Ops Technology.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $73,000 - $100,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
- Work across Mountain Operations, Ski Patrol, Guest Services, Lift Operations, Lift/Vehicle Maintenance, Snowmaking, Food and Beverage and IT to define and prioritize a backlog that continuously delivers measurable value towards business goals
- Take initiative in understanding business needs, evaluate opportunities to enhance existing systems, participate in vendor selection processes and implement new applications
- Work with the mountain operations teams to document functional requirements and translate those requirements into technical design specifications
- Work with engineering teams to estimate work, make smart tradeoffs, define milestones and deliver new capabilities
- Liaison between internal stakeholders and various application vendors for troubleshooting, ticket management, releases, and roadmaps
- Configure new applications to align with business requirements and be responsible for developing and executing robust test plans
- Ensure issues uncovered during the testing cycle are prioritized, communicated and resolved in a timely manner to ensure implementation timelines are met
- Provide documentation and training for IT Help Desk staff, so that IT Help Desk staff may assist in supporting the solutions on an on-going basis
- Develop and deliver ad hoc user queries and reports
- Responsible for ongoing configuration, custom reporting, testing, integrations, and daily support for mountain operations applications
- Other duties as assigned
- Degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology or associated field required
- 2+ years effectively managing multiple tasks and projects, with a demonstrated ability to identify and communicate issues that may inhibit successful project completion
- 2+ years supporting or implementing commercial software applications
- Ski area operations experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient knowledge in business process analysis and writing functional/technical requirements
- Proficient knowledge in creating test plans, executing test plans and providing feedback to development teams for resolving defects
- Proficient knowledge of software delivery methodology
- Experience documenting standard operating procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, completing work at a high standard
- Expert skier or snowboarder with the ability to transport equipment through expert terrain
- Proficient knowledge in working with matrixed teams and vendor partners preferred
- Excellent complex problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback
- Ability to maintain commitments; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams spanning business and technical sides of the organization
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
May be required to work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel / equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
