Warehouse IQ Supervisor


Denver, CO


Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - Until work is completed

We are seeking a strong Supervisor that will provide strong leadership to a distribution team.
Someone with a detail eye and a strong sense of urgency that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Managing teams by being on the floor and not behind a desk.


The successful candidate must demonstrate:

This role will report directly to the Site Manager and will have open communications on a daily basis to other senior leaders, plus they will be working with a collaborative team of professionals.


Overview:

This role will be managing the Vendor Compliance Program for one of our Partners

The primary goal of this role is to ensure the overall accuracy and efficiency of product moves through the distribution center. This role will work across departments to address inventory management and discrepancies. This role will also be responsible for evaluating and correcting non-compliant products, documenting fines and printing label orders for both Vendor orders as well as on-site orders


Essential Functions:

  • Own, lead and manage the daily operations of the department.
  • Managing and overseeing employees and all compliance related functions of the distribution center.
  • Coordinate the daily processing of compliance reporting.
  • Monitor and manage payroll of staff.
  • Maintain "hands on" accountability for the department goals.
  • Supervise daily activities. Allocate work, monitor productivity, and secure resources to facilitate staff performance, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and housekeeping are maintained.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring all proper safety procedures are enforced and followed.
  • Ensure employees are trained on departmental job procedures. Identify any additional training needs to assist employees in attaining desired levels of job performance.
  • Partner with team to understand what compliance activities they currently own and develop plan to transfer duties to Capstone team.
  • Handle employee relations such as, but not limited to coaching, counseling and training direct reports by partnering with the Distribution Senior Leadership and/or Human Resources.
  • Maintain equipment and housekeeping standards -- 5S.

The ideal individual is a hands-on person of action who is detail-oriented, and timeline driven. A positive attitude is essential, preferably a contagious one. Candidates who are flexible, organized, and have an inherent interest in problem-solving will be successful. This requires regular, active involvement on the warehouse floor; this is not a sit down desk job position, especially during peak periods.


Vendor Compliance:

  • Identify any compliance issues and accurately correct them in a timely manner. This requires extensive knowledge of compliance standards and how a Vendor comes to meet those standards
  • Documenting fines. All fines require thorough documentation that provides our Partner solid proof in event of dispute. Documentation may include but is not limited to sample labels, # labels printed, pictures of product, and pictures of damaged pallets/merchandise.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • 3 years in Inventory Control
  • Experience working in a fast-paced large warehouse environment
  • Prior experience with vendor compliance program is a plus
  • Supervisory experience is required
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Experience in operation equipment, such as electric pallet jacks, forklifts etc.
  • Experience conduction quality control checks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft products (outlook, word, power point, excel etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline --oriented environment
  • Professional, calm, and cooperative attitude
  • Warehouse Management System experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work any shift
  • Ability to prioritize work based on delivery schedule
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
