Job Description

DaVita is offering a paid internship opportunity through the Colorado Pledge to Diversity program. This opportunity will give you a chance to participate in a holistic legal setting with exposure to multiple areas of the law. It will also give you exposure to the dynamic relationship that an in-house counsel attorney has with their business partners.

Legal Intern job duties may include the following:

  • Researching multiple areas of law including privacy, real estate, and compliance to complete US state law surveys
  • Reviewing and drafting various contracts
  • Drafting legal memos for our various “lanes”
  • Addressing incidents from a Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Risk perspective
  • Shadowing attorneys on Strategic Business Initiative partner meetings
  • Supporting the Integrated Kidney Care business
  • Networking and soft skill development as you learn more about the Village

You will need to first apply through the Colorado Pledge to Diversity Program and fulfill that program’s requirements prior to interning at DaVita. Additionally, you will need to have intermediate skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; be able to perform legal analysis; possess compelling written and oral communication skills; work well with a team; be open to exposure of different areas of law; and have an overall desire to learn.

Salary/ Wage Range

$24.50 - $36.00 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
