Position Overview
Cologix is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship offers hands-on experience across multiple HR functions, including HR systems (HRIS), onboarding, benefits administration, reporting and analytics, and talent acquisition support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in Human Resources within a dynamic and growing organization.
The internship will run for 10 weeks, up to 40 hours a week, commencing on June 1 and concluding on or around August 7.
What you do daily:
- Assist with maintaining and updating employee data within the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
- Support the new hire onboarding process, including coordination, documentation, and ensuring a positive employee experience
- Support benefits administration processes, including enrollments, audits, and employee inquiries
- Help generate HR reports and dashboards; assist with data analysis to support business decisions
- Provide administrative and coordination support for Talent Acquisition activities (e.g., interview scheduling, background check screening and candidate tracking)
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives, including process improvements and documentation updates
- Served as a first point of contact for high-level employee inquiries, exercising sound judgment to interpret policies, resolve issues, and escalate complex matters appropriately
- Support general HR operations and contribute to miscellaneous team projects as needed
- Hands-on experience working with a HRIS and understanding how employee data supports HR operations
- Direct exposure to the end-to-end onboarding process and how to create a strong new hire experience
- Exposure to benefits administration, including real-world processes and compliance considerations
- Practical experience in HR analytics, reporting, and using data to inform decision-making
- Insight into Talent Acquisition processes, from candidate coordination to hiring workflows

What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university as a rising junior / senior
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with an interest in working with data and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with HR systems is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Prior internship or coursework related to HR, business analytics, or operations
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms or applicant tracking systems (ATS)
