Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Value Stream Mapping (VSM):
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map out current state value streams across different business units.
- Analyze value streams to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with team members to develop future state value stream maps that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Understanding Standard Work:
- Study existing standard work procedures within various departments to understand current practices and efficiencies.
- Identify deviations from standard work and areas for improvement.
- Assist in documenting and updating standard work procedures based on observations and analysis.
- Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED):
- Gain knowledge of SMED principles and techniques through training and practical application.
- Analyze changeover processes within manufacturing operations to reduce setup times and increase productivity.
- Collaborate with teams to implement SMED techniques and standardize changeover procedures.
- Process Improvement:
- Utilize Lean principles and methodologies to identify opportunities for process improvement across business units.
- Conduct root cause analysis to address underlying issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with stakeholders to implement process improvements and monitor their effectiveness over time.
- Kaizen Mapping:
- Compile findings from value stream mapping, standard work analysis, SMED initiatives, and process improvement efforts into a comprehensive Kaizen map.
- Identify key areas for improvement and prioritize initiatives based on potential impact and feasibility.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop action plans and timelines for implementation Kaizen initiatives.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for process improvement and operational excellence.
- Familiarity with Lean principles and methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time
