The Data Center SSD Performance team is a global engineering organization responsible for developing and optimizing SSD performance across cloud, enterprise, and AI workloads. The team partners closely with system architecture, firmware, and customer-facing groups to deliver industry-leading storage solutions while operating in a highly collaborative, globally distributed environment.
This internship focuses on improving productivity, visibility, and scalability for the SSD Performance team through the design and implementation of AI-driven tools, data dashboards, and test integration frameworks. The role provides hands-on exposure to real engineering challenges and solutions that support a global engineering organization.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop AI-assisted solutions to improve workflow efficiency, analysis, reporting, and test management
  • Build interactive dashboards to track SSD performance metrics, initiative health, test coverage, execution status, and trends
  • Develop a framework to support test integration across teams and monitor the health and scalability of a global test repository
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and present insights in a clear, actionable manner for global customers
  • Document designs, workflows, and usage guidelines and present results to technical and leadership audiences

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or equivalent scripting languages
  • Familiarity with data analysis and data visualization tools or dashboard frameworks
  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with ambiguous requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts, automation, or intelligent systems
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, Streamlit, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of software testing concepts, CI/CD pipelines, or test infrastructure
  • Interest in storage systems, data center technologies, or performance engineering

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$33.85 - $40.62 an hour
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
