Position Overview  
Malaria No More (MNM) is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Communications Intern to support our U.S. and global communications efforts. The Communications Internwill join a dynamic team advancing MNM’s mission to end malaria through strategic storytelling, content creation, and advocacy-driven communications. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with an interest in global health and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in communications, journalism, global health, healthy policy, or a related field 
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience creating content for nonprofits, global health, or digital platforms 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and managing multiple deadlines with strong attention to detail 
  • Deep interest in global health, advocacy, and MNM’s mission to end malaria 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with key social media platforms (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) 
  • Experience with tools like Hootsuite, WordPress, Canva, or EveryAction is a plus 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and proofread a range of written materials, including blog posts, newsletters, web copy, and social media content 
  • Support planning and execution of email campaigns: maintain editorial calendar, draft copy, and build emails for distribution 
  • Track and report on digital performance metrics 
  • Assist with communications and content development tied to global health milestones and advocacy moments (e.g., UN General Assembly, Giving Tuesday, etc.) 
  • Support promotion and coordination of MNM events and webinars 
  • Provide general administrative and research assistance as needed 
  • Perform other communications-related duties as assigned
