Job Description

About You:

Our team is growing and we’re looking to hire an intermediate to senior AIO/SEO specialist. We are looking for someone with a sense of curiosity and a desire to solve problems. Ideally, you have agency experience and have worked with both large and small clients.

You have hands-on experience working on AIO/SEO for a variety of different clients, including large and dynamic websites such as those in the YMYL or eCommerce spaces, as well as enterprise organizations. You have experience developing content strategies with a focus on quality over quantity, topical authority, and content that meets the needs of users at different stages of the buyer journey.

As an AIO/SEO Specialist, you’ve demonstrated your ability to uncover insights, understand a brand’s positioning and competitive marketplace, identify opportunities within search, and consider client limitations and resources when planning strategy. You’re comfortable working across both technical and content-focused AIO/SEO and collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to bring recommendations to life.

You will be responsible for:

  • Technical AIO/SEO analysis, prioritization, and execution strategy, including identifying opportunities, creating and prioritizing user stories, and developing an overall implementation strategy.
  • Developing AIO/SEO strategies grounded in user intent, topical authority and content analysis, including prioritization and execution across clients of varying sizes.
  • Building and maintaining content briefs based on SERP analysis, user intent, and competitor gaps.
  • Monitoring organic traffic, conversions, rankings, and other relevant performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Turning performance data and AIO/SEO analysis into meaningful, actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Applying basic entity mapping and topical authority analysis, including understanding how these concepts can influence visibility in AI Overviews and answer engines.
  • Developing an understanding of AIO/AIO, including how content, entities, and schema may be surfaced, cited, or analyzed by search engine AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and similar tools.
  • Completing some SEO execution, including CMS updates and schema implementation. Creating and presenting SEO reports that communicate performance trends, opportunities, and recommended next steps.
  • Managing client communication and tasks related to your SEO specialization.
  • Working within a task management system to manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple client accounts.
  • Notably we don't do execution around Authority besides consulting with outreach teams and, rarely, arbitrage, so no link building is required for this role.

Requirements include:

  • At least 3 years of professional SEO experience.
  • Deep technical AIO/SEO knowledge and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience executing technical AIO/SEO work with developers, including participating in a QA process.
  • Experience executing non-blog-related content strategies, e.g. location page projects, demographics projects, entity mapping work etc.
  • Solid understanding of AIO/SEO principles, including how content and schema gets surfaced, cited or analyzed by search engine AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and similar tools.
  • Basic coding knowledge including HTML, JS, CSS, or any backend experience
  • Experience working across multiple client accounts and managing competing priorities.
  • Professional experience working within a task management tool.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical SEO concepts to non-technical clients or stakeholders.
  • Excellent ability to manage and prioritize time effectively.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • eCommerce experience.
  • Enterprise experience.
  • Account / Client Management Experience
  • Advanced Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager implementation / execution / strategy knowledge, e.g. use of custom dimensions, calculated fields, enhanced eCommerce
  • Intermediate JavaScript skills, e.g. confidently executing on click tracking using GTM, scraping data using GTM to pass into GA, etc.
  • CRO experience.
  • Email / Marketing Automation experience.
  • Experience in an agile or scrum environment.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible work schedule including a six hour work day (10am-4pm)
  • Digital first, fully remote working environment
  • 3 weeks vacation and paid sick days
  • Paid day off on your Birthday!
  • Extended health coverage starting from your first day
  • Wellness Spending Account
  • Learning and Development budget for courses, etc.
  • Our social and team events (Funtime Fridays!)
