Amentum is seeking an Intermediate Counterintelligence Officer to support our U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. Positions will be based in the Denver, CO area.

Responsibilities Serves as Counterintelligence Officer (CIO), specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conducting CI/Counter Terrorism (CT) investigations across the DOE complex.
  • Works closely with the FBI and the USIC to assist in any ongoing espionage, terrorism, or related operations and investigations at responsible facilities.
  • Serve as liaison and interface with DOE facility management and local law enforcement agencies surrounding the assigned facility.
  • Provides case-related updates to the Senior Counterintelligence Officer (SCIO), facilities senior management and other DOE CI executives.
  • Provides CI/CT defensive briefings and debriefings to Departmental personnel in foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with scientific community departments within the DOE complex for the purpose of proactively mitigating foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college. A Master’s Degree is desirable.
  • Ten (10) years of experience as a CI Officer/agent conducting typical CI program activities to include CI inquiries and/or espionage investigations.
  • Must have experience as a primary case agent in counterintelligence case management at DOE, the FBI or DOD and must have advanced interviewing and elicitation techniques.
  • Must have demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Must have functional computer literacy and be proficient in common computer and network applications.

Compensation Details:

$140,000-$180,000
