Summary
The Integration Associate will play a critical role in supporting YA’s pre-close and post-acquisition success by managing day-to-day integration execution and contributing to the broader M&A process. Reporting to the Head of Integration, this position will partner with cross-functional teams, deal sponsors, and senior leadership to help build and scale integration practices, ensure seamless transition of acquired companies, and support financial and operational initiatives through the integration process post-close. This role requires excellent project management skills, adaptability, and the ability to build trust across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate due diligence efforts in collaboration with the Corporate Development and functional teams to assess integration requirements.
 - Develop integration approaches in partnership with deal sponsors and internal workstream leads.
 - Manage the day-to-day execution of integration activities across departments, including maintaining integration plans, hosting weekly syncs, and resolving roadblocks proactively.
 - Track, measure, and report integration KPIs, providing timely updates to leadership and integration teams.
 - Support and participate in cross-functional initiatives immediately following deal closure, including helping to align acquired entities with internal platforms, processes, and tools.
 - Serve as a liaison between sellers and internal teams; represent YA in a polished, professional, and collaborative manner.
 - Maintain integration project documentation in Smartsheet, Microsoft Suite, and other project management platforms.
 - Conduct post-close reviews to evaluate outcomes, gather feedback, and identify process improvements.
 - Assist in refining integration best practices and updating the IMO playbook based on lessons learned.
 - Support integration governance by helping prepare meeting agendas, documenting action items, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
 - Occasionally assist with select billable project support tasks during peak integration periods.
 - Operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities shift rapidly based on deal flow and team needs.
 - Performs additional duties as assigned.
 
Key Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in professional services, financial services, corporate development, or project management.
 - Demonstrated experience in post-merger integration or strong interest in building that skillset.
 - Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
 - Strong project management skills; experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar tools a plus.
 - Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across stakeholders, including executives and sellers.
 - Highly organized with strong attention to detail; skilled at juggling multiple tasks and timelines.
 - Professional demeanor, with a balance of persistence and emotional intelligence; able to follow up effectively without turning people off.
 - Willingness to take initiative, seek feedback, and learn the full lifecycle of the M&A process.
 - Previous experience in a high-growth or rapidly changing company environment preferred.
 
Bonus Qualifications
- Exposure to M&A transactions or financial modeling.
 - Experience supporting change management or operational transitions.
 - Familiarity with CRM systems and data tracking tools.
