Senior Director of Finance, Insurance
This role is a critical leadership role at Porch Group; The insurance division generates most of the revenue, Adjusted EBITDA and growth for Porch Group. This role leads finance for the insurance division and leads a team of 5 members. This is a highly visible role that partners with the senior leadership team of the insurance division, and the CEO, COO, and CFO of Porch Group. Insurance Finance includes, i) financial planning and analysis for the Porch Insurance Services Segment, ii) pricing for the Porch Insurance Services Segment, iii) financial planning and analysis for the Porch Reciprocal Exchange (i.e. the insurance carrier that Porch manages, but does not own), iv) capital planning and risk management for the Porch Reciprocal Exchange.
This role reports to the Vice President of Finance and will partner with the i) Insurance President and General Manager, ii) Insurance Senior Director of Growth and Development, iii) Insurance Senior Director of Product and Insurance Strategy, iv) Insurance Senior Direct of Claims and Underwriting.
Insurance Finance has the following areas of responsibility; this role oversees this function and these responsibilities.
What You Will Do As An Senior Director of Finance, Insurance
Strategic Financial Planning
- Provide data-driven insights that drive profitable growth.
- Capital planning for the Reciprocal Exchange, driving both adequate and efficient capital strategy.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans for the insurance division and the Reciprocal Exchange.
- Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with business objectives and growth plans.
Financial Analysis
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide insights on performance metrics, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate the financial impact of business decisions, incl. market expansions, and product changes.
- Analysis on unit economics of the products sold by the Reciprocal Exchange.
- Capital and Balance Sheet forecasting for the Reciprocal Exchange, including key regulatory compliance metrics.
Reporting
- Prepare and present financial reports, including management reporting and board reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Timely and accurate reporting of internal management reports for Operations meetings and dashboards: Executive, Financial, Marketing & Sales, and Claims metrics.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member
Pay Range*: $198,800.00 - $265,000.00 annually
*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with the market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.
Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
You will also be eligible to receive an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, subject to program guidelines and approvals
