Job Description

The Insurance Product Management Consultant provides support for Product Management leaders with achieving profit and growth targets for an insurance product.  This position is a highly data-driven and analytical role, suitable for candidates with strong programming skill as well as candidates with mathematical or engineering backgrounds and a desire to learn programming and data analysis. The listed job description details an 'average' member of the team, but candidates with more or less experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain database infrastructure and libraries of stored queries to provide reports to Product leadership.

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform insurance price decisions.

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate findings.

  • Collaborate with team members to understand data needs and provide analytical support.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of data collection systems and strategies.

  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as needed.

 

 

Technical Skills:
  • SQL knowledge (strongly preferred).

  • R or Python experience (preferred).

  • Other programming language experience (preferred).

  • Insurance Industry Experience (preferred).

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis & data modeling techniques (preferred).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

 

Experience:
  • 2 or more years of experience (Preferred).

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

 Education & Experience (in lieu):

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

 

Compensation:

Base compensation offered for this role is $62,800.00 - $99,190.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

 

*** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e., commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
