Maestro creates learning that empowers and inspires. We hire talented humans who are aligned with our purpose and truly care about the needs of our clients and everyone around them.

Who you are

You’re a rare blend of storyteller and designer—someone who can craft clear, learner-focused content and design sleek, accessible courses that bring it to life. Writing is one of your greatest strengths: you create purposeful messaging that resonates with learners, adapts to audience needs, and drives meaningful behavior change. Just as importantly, you bring a sharp eye for layout, visual balance, and digital design.

You know how to dig into research, ask the right questions, and translate complex information into content that is strategic, organized, and easy to follow.

Time management is one of your strongest assets—you prioritize effectively, meet deadlines with consistency, and keep projects on track from start to finish. With extensive experience in Articulate Rise, you build courses that are both instructionally sound and beautifully designed. Quick to pick up new tools and platforms, you approach challenges with curiosity and adaptability. While confident working independently, you thrive in collaboration and set a high standard for quality in everything you deliver.

What you’ll be doing

We’re looking for an Instructional Designer to help bring our off-the-shelf course library to life. This unique project centers on producing a high volume of well-designed, engaging courses on in-demand topics such as workplace safety, healthcare compliance, professional power skills, and more. As part of this team, you’ll be:

  • Utilizing AI and traditional research methods to gather, synthesize, and organize content for instructional materials
  • Using Maestro’s plug-in, Mighty, to enhance visual design and interactions to improve the overall quality and experience
  • Supporting the process of translating courses (tool TBD)
  • Implementing revisions to the content based on constructive feedback from team members
  • Managing your time in order to meet project milestones and deadlines
  • Taking ownership of your tasks and keep the project team updated on progress through proactive communication
Talents we’re looking for
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear and concise instructional content for diverse audiences
  • Ability to deliver elevated visual design
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and methodologies and ability to craft an effective learning experience
  • Extensive experience in Articulate Rise and a digital portfolio showcasing your work
  • Proficiency with Chicago Manual of Style
  • Excellent time-management and communication skills
  • Comfort using Google Workspace and other digital collaboration tools
  • Availability of about 20 hours per week (though we have some flexibility)
  • Bonus if you have experience using Figma
  • Bonus if you have experience using Mighty, Maestro’s plug in for supercharging Rise courses
The perks
  • Hourly rate based on experience and talent
  • Opportunity to be considered for additional contract work
  • Opportunity to work as part of a fun, collaborative, and innovative team
  • Flexible, remote work
