American Academy (AA) has an openings for part-time Instructional Assistants at our Lincoln Meadows campuses for the 2026-27 school year. The Instructional Assistant reports to the Office Manager and is responsible for assisting teachers with administrative tasks as well as assisting with carpool and/or lunch and recess.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to the mission and philosophy of American Academy with enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity
Uphold and model American Academy’s Character & Manners program
Classroom Teacher Support: Complete daily tasks assigned by the teachers; Assist teachers with special projects; Substitute or oversee class when needed
Lunchroom and/or Carpool Duties: Ensure all students are safe during morning and afternoon carpool; Monitor lunchroom behavior and serve as main contact for students in the lunchroom; Oversee that all students are safe and respectful on the playground
Positive Contribution to the School Environment: Provide timely and clear communication; Respond to staff and parent emails within 48 hours; Demonstrate initiative in personal achievements and team support; Maintain integrity with respect to hierarchy in the organization; Demonstrate professionalism; Demonstrate positive relationships with colleagues
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent; Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
CPR/First-Aid Certification preferred
Minimum job-related experience; Experience in an educational environment preferred
