Summary/Function:
D.A. Davidson & Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Institutional Sales Assistant to support our Fixed Income Sales team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and possesses strong organizational and administrative skills. The Sales Assistant will play a critical role in onboarding institutional clients, resolving trade and compliance issues, and ensuring smooth operational support across Sales, Trading, and Underwriting desks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Fixed Income Sales team.
- Manage and coordinate the onboarding process for new institutional accounts, including all required documentation.
- Assist in resolving trade discrepancies and identifying potential bond or transaction issues.
- Serve as a liaison between Sales, Trading, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of trades.
- Support the Fixed Income Trading and Underwriting Desks with ad-hoc requests, account inquiries, and general administrative needs.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in a sales support or operations role within Fixed Income Capital Markets, preferred but not required
- Maintain or be open to obtaining the Series 7 license within 90 days of employment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams in a professional and fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of fixed income products and/or FINRA SEC compliance requirements is a plus.
