About the role
We're looking for an Insights Analyst who can master the Knotch One platform and transform complex data into compelling, actionable insights that drive client success.

As a Knotch Insights Analyst, you'll dive deep into web analytics, journey data, and survey results to uncover the story behind the numbers. You'll translate technical findings into clear recommendations and test-and-learn plans that align with each client's unique business goals. Working closely with Customer Success Managers, you'll ensure every insight is tailored, relevant, and ready to drive impact.

This role sits on our Reporting & Insights team with high visibility and direct client impact. You'll work alongside Customer Success Managers and Account Directors to turn data into decisions that move the needle for our enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex data from web analytics, journey analytics, and survey platforms to uncover meaningful patterns and insights.
  • Translate data into stories that connect technical findings to client business goals in language stakeholders understand.
  • Develop test-and-learn plans based on insights to help clients optimize their content and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to tailor reports, insights, and recommendations to each client team's objectives and context.
  • Support client meetings as needed to help Customer Success Managers communicate findings and answer technical questions.
  • Ensure data quality and rigor by maintaining high standards for data cleanliness, accuracy, and statistical validity.
  • Challenge assumptions by questioning data anomalies and digging deeper to uncover the "why" behind the numbers.
  • Visualize insights through compelling dashboards, reports, and presentations that make complex data accessible.

Qualifications

  • 3-10 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics within marketing, digital analytics, or SaaS environments.
  • Prior startup or growth-stage company experience working in fast-paced, agile environments.
  • SaaS platform experience understanding subscription business models and recurring customer relationships.

Required

    • Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics—deep expertise with at least one, proficiency with both preferred
    • Data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to create clear, impactful reports
    • Excel/Google Sheets mastery for data manipulation, analysis, and quality control
    • SEO knowledge to interpret organic search performance and content discoverability metrics
    • Data analytics platforms such as Optimizely, Contentsquare, or Amplitude

Preferred

    • Journey analytics platforms
    • Survey tools and platforms
    • SQL for advanced data querying and analysis
    • AI experience utilizing AI to code or create analysis
    • Knowledge of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
    • Data science methodologies
    • A/B testing and UX design/testing experience

How to be Successful

  • Ability to translate data points into a cohesive story—you take scattered insights and weave them into narratives that drive action.
  • Experimental rigor and data cleanliness—you maintain the highest standards for accuracy and don't tolerate messy data or unvalidated conclusions.
  • Precision and attention to detail—you catch errors others miss and ensure every number tells the truth.
  • Time management skills to juggle multiple client projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
  • Presentation ability and data storytelling—you communicate complex findings in ways non-technical stakeholders understand.
  • Proactive attitude and collaborative mindset—you work well within teams and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Curiosity—you're naturally inquisitive and driven to understand the "why" behind the data.
  • Commercial awareness—you understand how insights connect to business outcomes and revenue.
  • Strategic ability and foresight—you can anticipate implications and think several steps ahead.

Nice to Have (but not mandatory)

  • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or Marketing (or equivalent experience).
  • Multiple analytics platform certifications
  • Eastern Time Zone location for easier collaboration with team and clients.
