Overview of Position Responsibilities:

The Infrastructure Engineer III provides senior-level architectural expertise in the design, governance, and evolution of Bluepeak’s cloud platforms. This role is responsible for defining scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures that support business-critical systems and customer-facing services. The Cloud Architect acts as a technical leader by establishing cloud architecture standards, guiding complex design decisions, ensuring security and compliance alignment, and partnering closely with IT, Engineering, Security, and Business teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, define, and govern scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures across public and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Architect and standardize multi-tier cloud environments supporting production, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
  • Develop and maintain cloud reference architectures, patterns, and standards to guide engineering implementation.
  • Define and govern cloud networking architectures, including virtual networks, routing, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and private connectivity.
  • Design and enforce cloud security architecture, including identity and access management, network segmentation, logging, monitoring, and encryption.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to ensure infrastructure-as-code implementations align with approved architectural standards.
  • Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to ensure cloud architectures meet regulatory, audit, and internal security requirements.
  • Define observability standards for cloud environments, including performance, availability, capacity, and cost management metrics.
  • Provide architectural guidance during incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
  • Support application teams with cloud-native design patterns, migration strategies, and performance optimization guidance.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud services and technologies and recommend adoption aligned with business and technical objectives.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, standards documentation, and design artifacts.
  • Mentor engineers and influence best practices across the Engineering & IT organization.
  • Influence others within the job area through explanation of architectural principles, policies, and standards.
  • Other related duties as assigned.  

What You Will Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
  • 8+ years in a cloud, infrastructure, or engineering role required.
  • Architecture or technical leadership experience is preferred.
  • Extensive experience designing and governing cloud architectures in one or more major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Strong expertise in cloud networking, security architecture, and identity management.
  • Advanced experience guiding infrastructure-as-code, automation, and configuration management strategies.
  • Strong understanding of automation and scripting concepts used in cloud environments.
  • Experience defining monitoring, logging, and alerting architectures for cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity architecture.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and SRE principles and their application to cloud architecture.
  • Experience performing architectural reviews and supporting root cause analysis for complex incidents.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and strategic technical initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative working style and strong attention to detail.
  •  MS Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote.  
  •  Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity services.
  • Familiarity infrastructure automation, CI/CD tooling, and cloud observability environments
  •  Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer   
  •  Regularly required to talk and hear  
  •  Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull and walk  
  •  Required to use hands, handle objects and paperwork  
  •  Required to use close vision and be able to focus  
  •  Required to refrain from personal use of technology during working hours  
  •  Required to lift up to 5lbs at a given time 
  • Upon job offer, must be able to pass a background check and a drug test prior to employment.

Salary range: $96,600 - $125,400
