Cottage Health seeks an Information Security Engineer Senior for their CH ITS Administration department serving as a senior technical authority responsible for security architecture, engineering design decisions, and enterprise risk mitigation strategies to support the Cottage Health Information Security program. He/She would be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and implementing security solutions. As a subject matter expert on guides and leads the tactical implementation of relevant security initiatives and services. Areas of responsibility include security architecture, firewalls, monitoring and response, endpoint security, and vulnerability management, security incident response and forensics. Furthermore, this position Also, supports the Information Security Team in performing security assessments, product evaluations, project support, and any other operational tasks needed to support the Information Security program and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently. 

Education:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. The equivalent of 8 years of progressively responsible related work experience may be substituted for a degree.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Minimum: One or more relevant technical/professional security certifications such as SANS/GIAC, ISC(2), CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, Offensive Security, EC-Council or COMPTIA Network+ Security+ CySA+, Pentest+, CASP OR 5 years of direct experience in one or more of the following information security CBK domains: Security and Risk Management, Asset Security, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security Assessment and Testing, Security Operations, Software Development Security

Technical Requirements:

  • Minimum: Experience in various security technologies and tools ranging from firewalls, endpoint, network scanners, etc. Knowledge of operating systems, client/server technology, WAN & LAN technologies, communications protocols, PKI & encryption.

Years of Related Work Experience:

  • Minimum: 8 years of IT administration experience, with 6 of those years focused on IT Security.
  • Preferred: 9+ years IT admin experience with 7+ years in IT Security.

*Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable.
