Lead the influencer strategy for sports predictions, managing campaigns, partnerships, compliance, and stakeholder reporting across social platforms and podcasts.
This is a foundational, high-autonomy role responsible for owning the influencer channel and strategy for the sports predictions product. The lead will act as an entrepreneurial self-starter expected to design, implement, and scale the program from the ground up within the US regulated derivatives and predictions landscape.
This role will have the flexibility to utilize diverse commercial models to secure top-tier influencer talent. The ideal candidate is a strategic expert in the US influencer landscape, capable of managing both Macro celebrities and niche emerging sports analysts across social platforms and podcasts.
Responsibilities:
- Full-Funnel strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders on the design of the influencer roadmap and strategy for our sports prediction product. Then execute the plan to balance top of funnel awareness with bottom funnel customer acquisition.
- Multi-platform management: Source and manage a diverse portfolio of talent across all major social media channels (X, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch), including Podcasts and non-traditional influencer channels.
- Commercial Negotiations: Execute a range of deal structures (CPA, Rev-Share, Flat fee and Gifting), ensuring all partnerships remain efficient against a target CPM.
Creative and Technical Execution:
- Campaign Collaborations: Work alongside the Sports Prediction Growth Hacker to integrate influencers into campaigns, bespoke incentives, and event-specific promotions.
- Whitelisting & Amplification: Manage influencer whitelisting and paid media amplification to extend content reach, utilizing platforms like Meta ads manager to optimise performance.
- Community integration: Collaborate with the internal community management team to ensure influencers are authentically integrated into the community strategy for the product.
Compliance Leadership and Vetting:
- Regulatory Problem-Solving: Act as the primary interface for Legal and Compliance teams to overcome ambiguities and implement scalable, compliant solutions.
- Vetting and due diligence: Own the influencer vetting process, ensuring all talent aligns with the legal department’s requirements and advertising standards.
- Operational excellence: Maintain clear documentation of influencer compliance workflows, providing a feedback loop to stakeholders.
- Live content guardrails: Partner with the legal and compliance teams to draft and implement guidelines for live-streamed and unscripted content, ensuring the product and content remains compliant.
Cross-Functional Influence and reporting:
- Stakeholder Reporting: Utilize Tableau and Impact.com reporting to measure and communicate growth and channel value to senior leadership.
- Event Representation: Attend key US-based industry events and conferences alongside the team to recruit partners and represent the product.
- Hybrid execution: Balance direct influencer outreach with the management of specialist external agencies to scale the influencer program rapidly and meet different targets.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Influencer Management, with a proven track record in the US Sports Betting (OSB), financial services, or regulated gaming sectors.
- Deep understanding of the US influencer landscape, including experience managing talent of various types and sizes.
- Proven experience in building an influencer program from scratch or launching a new acquisition channel in a highly regulated market.
- Expert technical proficiency with influencer management tools like Impact.com creator or similar platforms for attribution and tracking.
- A strong negotiator able to rapidly secure influencer agreements and manage agency/talent manager relationships.
- Self-Starter Temperament: Ability to thrive under pressure, meet short deadlines, and find solutions in ambiguous environments.
- Comfortable in a high-volatility environment where product features and budget may change rapidly.
It's a plus if you have:
- Technical proficiency with Podcast advertising and host-read sponsorships.
- Experience working with live stream influencers (Youtube, TikTok, Twitch) and navigating real-time compliance risks.
- Background in navigating US state-level considerations for gaming or financial products.
