Job Summary
Redaptive is seeking a Denver based Incentives Specialist to support our pipeline of commercial and industrial (C&I) energy efficiency projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the successful deployment of customer projects by securing and managing utility, state, and federal incentives.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on familiarity with HVAC systems, commercial or industrial facilities, and energy efficiency programs and understands how incentives apply in real-world building and operational contexts. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to research, manage, and optimize incentive opportunities across a diverse portfolio of projects.
While this role will be primarily focused on HVAC, Industrial Process projects and incentive programs, it will also support and expand into, LED, battery storage, EV charging, and other building technologies as company needs evolve.Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, project management, construction, and finance) to gather project data and support accurate, on-time incentive application submissions.
  • Research and analyze energy efficiency incentives, grants, and rebate programs with a strong emphasis on HVAC and C&I building applications.
  • Prepare detailed incentive calculations, ensuring compliance with program requirements, technical specifications, and measurement & verification (M&V) standards.
  • Manage and track incentive applications from submission through payment, proactively resolving issues or discrepancies with program administrators.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evolving incentive programs, including changes in regulations, eligibility criteria, and technical requirements for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Help develop and improve internal systems for incentive tracking, reporting, documentation, and forecasting.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for internal teams and customers on incentive requirements, timelines, and documentation needs.
  • Partner with project managers and engineers to optimize project design and technology selection (e.g., HVAC upgrades, solar, storage) to maximize incentive value.
  • Develop training materials and document best practices to scale incentives knowledge across the organization.
  • Support the collection, analysis, and presentation of team performance metrics.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Abilities and Skills

  • Strong understanding of utility energy incentive and rebate programs at the local, state, and federal levels, particularly for commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, building energy efficiency measures, or mechanical/electrical upgrades in C&I environments.
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to navigate complex program rules and resolve application challenges.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working with program administrators, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with battery storage, EV charging, renewable energy certificates (RECs), and performance-based incentives is a plus.
  • Experience researching and securing grants is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation, calculations, and submissions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, and other tools used for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience managing or analyzing energy incentives, rebates, or efficiency programs, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Experience working with HVAC, building systems, or energy engineering teams is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as PE, CEM, or similar credentials are highly valued.

  • Expected annual salary: $75,000 - $95,000 (subject to adjustment for relevant experience, skills, geo location)
