The Inbound Logistics Analyst supports the International Logistics team in the planning and execution of inbound container deliveries from origin to destination ports, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery into Bob’s Distribution Centers. This role plays a key part in maintaining continuity of service across a global supply chain that imports approximately 35,000 containers annually from 10+ countries. The role partners closely with internal departments and external partners to drive operational efficiency, enhance visibility across the supply chain, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the import logistics function.

This position is a hybrid position based at the Manchester, CT Home Office, as well as remote with standard office hours and occasional flexibility for international coordination calls.

Core Competencies & Expertise

  • Global Logistics Coordination: Plan and execute day-to-day international freight movements with vendors, third-party management partners, and ocean carriers to ensure on-time, compliant product delivery.
  • Operational Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze shipment data, maintain departmental KPIs, and generate reports to support business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Manage exceptions related to shipping lines, ports, and container freight stations; escalate critical issues to leadership as appropriate.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Replenishment, Forecasting, and Merchandising teams, as well as the vendor community, to ensure clear communication and efficient container flow.
  • RFQ and Cost Analysis: Support annual Ocean Freight RFQ processes through data collection, rate analysis, and vendor evaluation.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to initiatives that strengthen visibility, improve communication, and streamline global logistics operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a related field
    • Equivalent experience: 2–3 years of logistics-related work experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in international or inbound logistics, transportation, or supply chain analysis
    • Strong computer and data management skills

Work Environment

This position is based at Bob’s Manchester, CT headquarters in a hybrid office environment. Collaboration with global partners may require early morning or evening calls to align with international time zones.

Physical Demands

  • Primarily desk-based work with extensive computer and phone use
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods and perform data analysis
  • Occasional light lifting (up to 15 lbs.) of office materials or equipment
