Role Overview
The Implementation Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end implementation process for new payment solution clients. You’ll guide businesses through system integrations, merchant account setup, and adoption of digital payment features (credit card, ACH, embedded payments, virtual terminals). You’ll work closely with finance leaders, IT teams, and our internal technical specialists to ensure seamless onboarding and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do:
- Lead onboarding projects for mid-market and enterprise clients adopting our payments platform.
- Manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure smooth go-live.
- Coordinate payment gateway, processor, and ERP/CRM integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage).
- Oversee merchant account setup, payment workflows, and compliance requirements (PCI DSS, NACHA, KYC/AML).
- Support configuration of payment features including recurring billing, tokenization, payment portals, and embedded payments.
- Act as the main point of contact during onboarding, building trust with client finance and IT stakeholders.
- Run kickoff meetings, requirements workshops, and regular status calls.
- Translate technical payment processes into business outcomes for CFOs, controllers, and AR managers.
- Provide training and best practices for payment acceptance and reconciliation.
- Identify risks and blockers early; escalate as needed to keep projects on track.
- Work with product, engineering, and support teams to troubleshoot integration or settlement issues.
- Balance customer expectations, scope, and timelines to deliver high-quality onboarding experiences.
- Ensure clients adopt key payment features that reduce manual AR processes and accelerate cash flow.
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure a smooth transition to long-term account management.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to improving onboarding processes, templates, and playbooks.

What you'll bring to the team:
- 4–7 years of project management experience in SaaS, fintech, or payment solutions.
- Knowledge of payment processing (gateways, processors, merchant onboarding, settlement flows).
- Experience with ERP/financial system integrations (NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, NACHA, KYC/AML) preferred.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, able to engage both finance executives and technical teams.
- PMP, Agile, or related certification a plus.
