Job Description

As member of Business Analytics and part of a team responsible for the global management of 
company-wide Business Analytics & Forecasting systems the selected candidate will be 
responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting our Planning tool and Business 
Intelligence environments through working with both the technical teams and our finance end 
user community.

In addition to requiring a high level of technical expertise within IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 
this role is about understanding the needs of the business, the data behind it, and how to 
transform this information into technical solutions that allow the business to make rapid, 
informed decisions. Ideal candidates will have expertise in all phases of the software 
development life cycle in building models that scale over time while balancing accuracy, 
flexibility and performance.

This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work to be based from a variety of locations in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient planning solutions by managing all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, modeling & design, development, testing, deployment, integration, and documentation
  • Administer various components of the Financial Planning Applications including security assignment and dimensional maintenance
  • Manage enterprise wide hierarchies and organizational structures to support the planning and reporting tool sets
  • Manage application rollovers and timetables on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Continuous evaluation of reports and template to ensure they are in line with user expectation and application updates
  • Provide End User Support and determine best course of action
  • Build out training documentation and provide assistance to users in various data analysis techniques
  • Utilize modeling techniques to effectively present data flow to users and help reconcile gaps in various systems

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Business Related and/or Computer Science related subjects or similar with background in Financial Planning and Analysis including at least 8 years of IBM Planning Analytics / Cognos TM1 work experience in developing /designing end-to-end analytics solutions, including system configuration, model building, data security, and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience working with users in a support capacity
  • Experience with latest version of TM1 / Planning Analytics on the cloud
  • Experience with TM1 upgrades and cloud migration
  • Knowledge of relational and dimensional data structures
  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with a client service mentality
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly 
  • Modeling experience including but not limited to building models utilizing advanced Excel functions, VBAs and macros

Offered rate of compensation (US locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000.
