Leidos' Corporate Information Security Office (CISO), reporting through the Digital Modernization sector, is seeking an Identity Access Management (IAM) Cyber Engineer to support our team.
Location: This position offers full time telework from any U.S. based location.

Identity Access Management is a team within the Corporate Information Security Cyber Operations organization. We are a highly skilled team providing Identity Security services for the corporate enterprise on a global scale. These services align with and progress the Corporate Information Security mission to identify and mitigate risk through policies and standards. This ensures compliance with regulatory requirements by applying creative solutions to complex IT cybersecurity issues, balancing prudent cyber security with business enablement.
Position Overview
Leidos’ Identity Access Management (IAM) team is seeking an experienced IAM Cyber Engineer to serve as a technical leader supporting enterprise identity security initiatives across multiple programs. You will be responsible for integrating IAM architecture and engineering practices throughout the IT lifecycle, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient identity solutions.
In this role, you will apply advanced cybersecurity principles to complex technical challenges that span multiple disciplines and programs. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, developers, internal stakeholders, and client teams to design and implement innovative solutions that achieve mission and business objectives. This role requires strong technical depth, creativity, and the ability to develop solutions to complex problems with broad organizational impact.
Key Responsibilities
The IAM Cyber Engineer will be responsible for large projects or processes with moderate impact across multiple technical areas. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Architecture & Engineering
Lead the architecture, engineering, implementation, integration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IAM systems and supporting infrastructure
Embed secure design principles into software and hardware components across the IT lifecycle
Develop and implement solutions that address complex identity and access challenges across enterprise environments
Support emerging authentication standards and evolving security frameworks
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
Serve as a technical leader across multiple programs, driving IAM strategy and engineering excellence
Communicate effectively with internal technical teams and client stakeholders
Provide technical planning, system design, development, integration, verification, and validation support
Develop innovative solutions to achieve functional and program objectives
Support escalations from operational teams

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent relevant experience and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Information Technology or a related discipline
Minimum of 2+ years of Microsoft Active Directory experience
Minimum of 2+ years of Microsoft Entra Active Directory experience
Experience with Identity Governance Administration and Lifecycle Management
Experience with Federated Identity Management (FIM)
Experience with authentication and authorization technologies and protocols, including:
SAML
Kerberos
NTLM
OIDC
OAuth
Knowledge of multi-factor authentication (MFA) technologies, including:
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
One-Time Password (OTP)
Biometrics
Other authentication factors
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience with Okta
Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, and/or SANS certifications
