As a Hybrid Development Representative (HDR), you'll be on the front lines, responsible for generating high-quality sales opportunities for Toast Account Executives. This is an exciting entry point into the world of B2B sales, where you'll gain invaluable experience engaging with prospective restaurants. You'll perform outreach to a mix of warm leads (restaurants who have interacted with Toast before) and cold leads, with the goal of connecting with owners and determining if Toast is the right fit for their establishment. Your daily outreach will involve a blend of warm and cold calls, emails, and social media touch points, allowing you to develop a well-rounded skillset.
This isn't just a job; it's a launchpad for your sales career at Toast! After successfully performing as an HDR and getting a taste of various pipeline generation activities, we'll help you specialize into one of our other xDR positions: Account Development Representative (ADRs), Sales Development Representative (SDRs), or Business Development Representative (BDRs). There is potential you will either specialize in restaurant OR retail specific teams. For high-performing ADRs, SDRs, and BDRs, there's a clear path to promotion into closing roles and become Toast’s future Account Executives – this is where your compensation motivated and goal-oriented drive can truly shine!

About this roll* (Responsibilities):
*Complete at least 100 outreach activities daily, showcasing your drive and dedication.
*Host qualification calls to develop a deep understanding of prospect's needs and determine how they can benefit from leveraging Toast’s all-in-one digital platform.
*Schedule meetings for qualified prospects with the appropriate Account Executive.
*Learn about and execute on different methods of outreach, preparing you to step directly into one of our dedicated xDR positions (ADR, BDR, SDR).

*Participation in a sales club on campus or sales competitions is a huge plus! We love to see students who are actively honing their competitive edge and sales skills.
*Previous Sales or Sales Internship experience.
*Restaurant experience.
*Experience leading student organizations, volunteering in the community, or other activities that demonstrate a passion for teamwork and leadership.

The estimated Total Targeted Cash compensation range for this role is listed below. Total Targeted Cash for this role consists of a base salary, commission, benefits, and equity (if eligible). This role qualifies for uncapped commissions. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
