Position Summary:
The Consultant primarily supports the HRO (Human Resources Outsourced) services team with developing and implementing HR solutions and providing ongoing support for clients. The Consultant will coordinate and execute on various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding employees, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and related generalist activities. The Consultant collaborates with clients and diverse teams to develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices. The Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on HR matters and advancing compliance with employment laws. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach are essential for success in this position.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Collaborates with the Director and HRO team to provide exceptional service to clients.
  • Develops and maintains HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Collaborates with clients to understand hiring needs, assist in front line talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
  • Administers employee benefits programs, including health insurance and leave policies, establish efficient systems for enrollment and tracking along including ongoing communications.
  • Tracks and manages performance management process.
  • Formulates and tailors HR reporting per client needs.
  • Reviews and updates employee onboarding, offboarding and orientation by evaluating the effectiveness of current processes, gathering feedback from clients, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Establishes a consistent system for naming, storing, and organizing client files.
  • Collaborates effectively clients to streamline data entry workflows.
  • Addresses client matters with confidence, confidentiality, and consistency.
  • Creates documents such as offer letters, job descriptions, performance improvement plans.
  • Provides project-based consulting services as capacity allows.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Contributes to the growth of the talent management service line.
  • Participates in professional development activities.
  • Participates in Firm sponsored events for clients and prospects.
  • Participates in business development activities, e.g., MTL's, public speaking events

Role Qualifications:
Education

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable college or university in business, human resources, I/O psychology, organizational communications, or a related field.
  • Certification(s) from reputable industry association or certifying body in HR, OD, Compensation or an aligned field of expertise preferred.


Experience

  • 4-6 years in a Generalist HR or Organizational Development role
  • Consulting experience desired
  • Experiences in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Proficient in client relationship management tools, virtual meeting software, and the MS office suite

Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate's unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $79,000 - $132,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
