Human Resources Support & Training Track
Under the guidance of the HR team, the employee will be trained in and gradually assume responsibility for:
- Assisting with onboarding processes including new hire paperwork, I-9 support, badge creation, and orientation scheduling
- Supporting employee file maintenance in compliance with confidentiality and record-keeping standards
- Assisting with data entry in HRIS, Schoox and internal tracking systems as well as vetting HRIS systems to maximize operational flow
- Preparing onboarding and training packets
- Assisting with benefits enrollment periods and open enrollment communications
- Supporting training coordination and internal communications
- Serving as a friendly and supportive resource for basic HR questions, escalating as appropriate
- Serve as the primary receptionist, greeting and assisting all visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and route incoming phone calls
- Receive, sign, and sort all incoming mail and packages
- Manage visitor sign-in procedures and maintain building access logs
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception and lobby areas
- Assist with general administrative tasks including copying, filing, scanning, mailing, and data entry
- Support office supply ordering and inventory
Minimum Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- College coursework/Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of administrative, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred
- Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment
