About the Role
We're looking for an HR Systems & Operations Specialist who can balance day-to-day people operations with ownership of our HR systems. You'll support employees across the full HR lifecycle — from onboarding to benefits and payroll to compliance — while ensuring our systems, data, and processes are accurate, efficient, and scalable. This is a great role for someone who enjoys being hands-on with people while also digging into the details of systems and workflows.
What You’ll Do
HR Operations & Employee Support 50%
- Support onboarding and offboarding for employees and contractors
- Facilitate semi-monthly payroll processing with PEO.
- Support benefits administration, payroll coordination, tax, and compliance activities.
- Partner with People/HR leadership to roll out new policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes using technology.
- Manage Employer of Record (EOR) system for international team members
HRIS Management 50%
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject-matter expert for our internally BambooHR, Remote, Notion, and Sequoia One
- Maintain data integrity, ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date.
- Generate reports and dashboards to support decision-making and compliance.
- Implement system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements.
- Audit HR data regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist or people operations role.
- Hands-on experience managing and administering HRIS systems.
- Strong understanding of core HR practices, employment laws, and compliance.
- Utilization of AI systems to help automate and streamline.
- Comfort balancing employee-facing support with behind-the-scenes system work.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and data-driven.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Startup or high-growth company experience a plus.
