A day in the life.
Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) Private Client Services (PCS) is an insurance brokerage agency that protects individuals’ liabilities and personal assets through the construction and placement of insurance portfolios. MMA PCS drives growth across three business segments: Individual (Consumer), Sponsored (Enterprise), and Specialty (Lifestyle) Solutions.
Reporting to MMA PCS’ President & CEO and partnering closely with the MMA Chief People Officer and MMA PCS Leadership Team, the HR Leader will serve as the senior people strategist for MMA PCS National.
This senior leadership role requires a proven record of leading complex HR organizations in growth-oriented, professional services or financial services environments, with deep expertise in organizational effectiveness, talent systems, and change leadership. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with operational rigor and the ability to influence senior leaders and drive consistent execution across a national organization.
We will count on you to:
Serve as a critical thought partner to the President & CEO, CFO, Strategy Leader, and MMA PCS Leadership Team, responsible for designing and executing a disciplined, scalable people strategy that enables growth, integration, and sustained high performance.
Own the end-to-end people agenda, including organizational design, role clarity, performance management, career planning and pathing, learning and development, producer development (in partnership with Sales), talent acquisition, change management, and workforce planning. In addition, the HR Leader will partner with MMA PCS Leadership Team on strategic recruiting / hiring / on-boarding, succession planning and colleague experience with a focus on development and a growth mindset in support of the strategic agenda. This role will have leadership responsibility for Talent Acquisition, L&D, and HR support for MMA PCS.
Create a robust feedback culture and recognition program that will help set the overall employee engagement strategy, leveraging the employee engagement surveys to turn results into improvement action plans
Instill a standardized change management capability by establishing clear ownership, repeatable frameworks, and disciplined execution, embedding the capability into communications, training, and adoption strategies for future transformations, ensuring cross-leader alignment and consistent execution
Collaborate with the MMA PCS Chief Growth Officer and Producer Development Leader to design and implement a producer development model, including compensation frameworks that enhance producer economics and motivate performance (incl. producer economic model, design of compensation plans)
Collaborate with MMA PCS’s Learning & Development (L&D) Leader to define and deploy an L&D strategy to build and enhance capabilities to serve future organizational needs, implementing role-based (e.g., Sales, Placement, Service, Operations) programs with clear standards, measurement, and activation plans to accelerate productivity and strengthen leadership bench depth
Determine talent acquisition needs, develop and execute a comprehensive strategy, and strengthen the function by addressing performance gaps, clarifying accountability and decision rights, and standardizing recruiting processes for priority roles (supported by clear service levels and partnership norms)
Serve as key liaison with the broader HR leaders, Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards teams, business leaders and recruiting search firms to expand our internal resources and explore possibilities of migration across the MMA regional groups

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
Human Resources leadership experience required, with 8-10 years generalist experience including strong knowledge of HR employment law, policies/practices, recruiting and organizational development, including workforce planning
Bachelor’s degree in related field required; advanced degree or SPHR designation preferred
Experience working in a sales environment is helpful, and a demonstrated ability to align business objectives with HR initiatives is required
Good interpersonal skills and high sense of urgency are a must, as are excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Analytical, strategic planning, communication, conflict resolution, and listening skills
Prior success and experience in managing change in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers
Proficiency in MS office applications required

The applicable base salary range for this role is $ 129,600 – 194,300. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
