Location: Cambria Hotel Copper Mountain

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintains the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of hotel public areas, including lobbies, hallways, corridors, elevators, stairways, restrooms, lounges, meeting spaces, back-of-house areas, and other assigned areas, in accordance with OHM and brand standards.
• Cleans and maintains floors, carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, walls, windows, doors, woodwork, fixtures, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning methods, equipment, and products.
• Sweeps, mops, scrub, waxes, and polishes floors using manual and powered cleaning equipment as appropriate.
• Dusts, polishes, cleans, and maintains furniture, fixtures, equipment, metalwork, and decorative elements to ensure a clean and well-presented environment.
• Collects, transports, sorts, and replaces soiled linens and towels in accordance with established procedures; maintains adequate linen supplies and organizes linen storage areas.
• Cleans and replenishes public and employee restrooms and other assigned areas with appropriate supplies and amenities.
• Restocks and maintains cleaning carts, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for each shift; notify appropriate leadership when supplies or equipment need replenishment or repair.
• Assists with the movement and arrangement of furniture, equipment, and other items for guest needs, meetings, events, and operational requirements.
• Delivers and retrieves guestroom items, including cribs, rollaway beds, linens, supplies, and other requested items, as assigned.
• Removes trash, debris, and recyclable materials from assigned areas and transport them to designated disposal or recycling locations in accordance with OHM and property procedures.
• Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of exterior areas as assigned, including driveways, entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and garage areas.
• Performs routine maintenance-related tasks within the scope of the position, such as replacing light bulbs, and promptly report maintenance, safety, damage, or other property concerns to the appropriate department.
• Assists with special cleaning projects and periodic deep-cleaning assignments, including cleaning draperies, upholstered furniture, carpets, windows, walls, ceilings, and other areas as needed.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and assist with resolving guest needs or directing requests to the appropriate department to support exceptional guest experience.
• Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates courteous, helpful, and service-oriented behavior when interacting with guests, team members, and other departments.
• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Follows all OHM, brand, safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling standards, including applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Identifies and promptly reports unsafe conditions, maintenance concerns, damaged property, or other issues that may affect guest or team member safety, hotel operations, or the appearance of the property.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the operational needs of the property.
• Reports for work for scheduled shifts, on time and in the proper uniform in accordance with company policy.
• Is familiar and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to position and assigned duties.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly, professional, and helpful demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize and address cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and appearance concerns.
• Ability to follow established cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and OHM and brand standards.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate cleaning equipment and properly handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with SDS (Safety Data Sheet) requirements.
• Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team while prioritizing tasks and responding to changing operational and guest needs.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous housekeeping, hotel, custodial, public-area, or related service experience preferred but not required.
• Previous experience operating cleaning equipment or handling commercial cleaning products is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to provide courteous and professional service to guests and work effectively as part of a team.

Hours:

Due to the nature of the hospitality business, work schedules may vary and may include early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to adjust to changing operational needs and occupancy levels is required.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

• This position requires frequent physical activity and the ability to safely perform cleaning, maintenance, and guest-service duties throughout the hotel.

• Heavy Work: Regularly exerting up to 50 pounds of force and occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force to lift, move, push, pull, or otherwise handle objects, equipment, furniture, linens, and supplies.
• Frequently standing and walking for extended periods throughout the work shift.
• Frequently pushing and pulling cleaning carts, equipment, furniture, and other items.
• Regularly lifting, carrying, moving, and transporting linens, supplies, trash, equipment, and other materials.
• Regularly reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, and working in various positions to clean and maintain assigned areas.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, gripping, pinching, handling cleaning tools and equipment, and performing repetitive motions.
• Ability to safely navigate stairs and other areas of the property while carrying or transporting supplies or equipment.
• Ability to visually inspect areas for cleanliness, damage, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards.
• Ability to communicate effectively through speaking and hearing with guests, team members, and other departments.
• Ability to perform assigned duties safely and efficiently while maintaining appropriate body mechanics and following required safety procedures.
• Working Conditions / Environmental Requirements
• Work is performed throughout the hotel, including guest-facing public areas, back-of-house areas, restrooms, storage areas, and exterior areas as assigned.
• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, dirt, odors, moisture, temperature variations, noise, and other conditions commonly associated with hotel operations.
• May work around moving equipment, wet floors, cleaning machinery, and other potential workplace hazards.
• Must follow all applicable safety procedures, chemical-handling requirements, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Position requires regular interaction with guests and team members and the ability to maintain a professional and service-oriented demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
