This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Performs responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from more than one environmental, health and safety job family and applies independent, specialized technical expertise to support a wide range of business objectives.
  • Activities include the development, integration, implementation, and execution of multidisciplinary business processes.
  • May work cross-functionally with internal and external customers and suppliers and at all employee levels to carry out responsibilities.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Degree should be in an area of Health and Safety, Occupational safety or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of professional experience pertaining to the skills identified is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite of tools - strong Excel skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, innovative behaviors, and the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment
  • Strong written & oral communication skill

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Master's Degree in an area of Health and Safety, Occupational safety, and or leadership.
  • Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist certification, or other professional certification.

Summary Pay Range - 99,750 -139,150

Export Control Requirements: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
